2017 COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS
Kenilworth, NJ (March 22, 2017) – The First Tee of Raritan Valley has selected two outstanding students for its annual college scholarships. Jeremy Steenvoorden and Noelle Zurich have each been selected as the 2017 College Scholarship recipients. Each student will receive a first-year $3,000 scholarship. This competitive scholarship honors the commitment and achievements of students who have participated in The First Tee of Raritan Valley’s youth development program for at least three years.
Jeremy is a senior at East Brunswick HS and an ACE Level student in The First Tee program at Tamarack Golf Course in Middlesex County. In school, Jeremy is a member of the National Honors Society and has been on the Honor Roll since his freshman year. He serves as a summer camp counselor and is a volunteer assistant coach for younger students in The First Tee program and is captain of his high school golf team. Jeremy plans to study aeronautical engineering at The Ohio State University.
Noelle is a senior at Notre Dame High School and is an Eagle Level student in The First Tee program at Tara Greens Golf Center in Somerset County. She serves as a volunteer assistant coach for younger students in The First Tee program. A competitive golfer, Noelle is going to attend Hofstra University and will represent her school on their golf team.
